Statement

Much of my work questions the way we communicate with functioning objects in a space, at a certain time. It questions how the function and semiotics of an object are transformed through the material manipulation and duplication of the object. I am particularly interested in how objects that represent a layer of past time are positioned in the context of the present, and how this new context is transformative. Different forms and types of documentation (mostly video and photographic) have a physical and nostalgic essence that inspires the use of specific materials to reconstruct a new space that may be used to perform in.
